On 13 May 2021 Val Davison our association member in Gransden Lodge UK, once again arranged to place flowers in St. Bartholomew’s Church on the anniversary of the 405 Squadron stained glass window dedication. Rev Rachel was in the church this morning and she said a prayer for the squadron. The Association and Squadron are extremely thankful to Val and her dedication to remember those who perished during the war.
The villages celebrated VE Day with socially distanced street parties, we all sat out on our drives or in our gardens, fortunately in lovely sunshine. We have gathered lots of photos for the village archive. Below are the Davidsons celebrating VE Day
405 Sqn Window Dedication St. Bartholomew's Church, Gransden Anniversary 2020
For a number of years Val & John Davidson placed flowers by the 405 Squadron window on the anniversary of the dedication of the window in the St. Bartholomew's Church, Gransden. This year however the church is still locked so they were unable to put flowers in the window just yet, maybe by Canada Day.
